While students who were not part of this discussion cannot, of course, comment on their strengths/weaknesses in it–i.e., because they were not there–they can comment in their weekly evaluations on the apparent strengths, weaknesses, changes from past discussions, etc. suggested by the tracking form. If a student is struck by something which he/she believes added strength to a discussion–something, perhaps, that has been missing from previous full-class Zoom discussion–that point should be in his/her comments about whether the discussion likely aided understanding of readings/films. (Remember, the evaluations should help the instructor see how well a student is understanding what makes effective vs. ineffective discussions.)
